What is the difference between signing up for KO PlayTeam and KO PlayDates?
Children in KO PlayTeams will have priority for Play Dates. By committing to Saturday play dates, children will have the same playmates for several days, allowing continuity in their play projects and deeper exploration of topics of interest. Teachers can learn more about the children, provide parents with detailed information on child development, and create individualized plans for progress.
Children in KO PlayDates can attend whenever there are vacancies available.
KO PlayTeam – What happens if my child misses one lesson within the package of 5 lessons?
You can make up one missed class. However, if more than one class is missed, the additional classes cannot be refunded as the vacancy for the play date has already been reserved for your child.
KO PlayDates – What happens if my child misses a booked play date?Lessons will not be refundable unless you withdraw your booking 7 days before the play date.
KO PlayDates – Will my child’s playmates be the same if I always book the same sessions?
It is highly likely that your child will see familiar faces if you book the same sessions every Saturday.
What will my children be learning?
Unlike enrichment programs that focus on one topic (phonics, ballet, math), KO allows children to work on various learning domains, including science, math, language, critical thinking, STEM, art, and more. For more information, please visit this link.
My child needs help with reading and writing. Will you be teaching phonics?
While I am trained to support preschoolers with language and literacy, the lessons will not focus solely on phonics. Children will engage in activities that require writing, and during these moments, our teachers will help develop their language and literacy skills.
Where will play dates be held?
Our home base is at Tampines North. However, if the children decide to study dinosaurs or plants, we may travel to Changi Airport’s Dinosaur Park or Gardens by the Bay. Parents will be updated the week before any planned out-of-home-base experiences, which is likely only for children in long-running KO PlayTeams.
What’s in it for me as a parent?
You will receive updates on the Wednesday after every play date. KO PlayTeam members’ parents can also attend child development workshops for free. Regardless of the plan you have signed up for, we hope to establish a positive and meaningful partnership with you! Let us work together to make the early years a wonderful time for your children.
How do I know my children are learning?
You can gauge their learning through their conversations with you and our documentation of their play experiences.
